Bickering to the Finish Line
This has been a pretty hideous season for the Sixers. Everyone knows. And while there were small leaks of venom that hinted to some tension between Eddie Jordan and the players, the postgame pissing match last night was easily the biggest breach of the levee.
Elton Brand isn't a fan of Jordan's decisions or his strategy. And in a weird way that assessment probably makes Brand slightly less of a disappointment in the public's eyes, because there doesn't seem to be a soul out there who believes Jordan deserves another year as coach. But here's the catch: Every player can get a pass for not getting along with a coach. But you only get one. When you bitch about more than one, then you are the problem. So Brand has used up that chip. Whoever the coach is next season, he had better form a good relationship with the guy and deliver more than he has this season. Otherwise this could be an ugly couple of years in Philly for him.
